LIMITED POSTER – HOMMAGE TO FAT5ZIG
“Cook your own soup” was the message behind the visual communication of the record FAT050. Artist Tine Drefahl had her own view on FAT 50’s message and created a vanitas representation made of natural products. Vanitas is Latin, meaning emptiness, nothingness as well as falsehood, boast and vainness.
Loosely translated it corresponds to the meaninglessness of earthly life and the transient nature of vanity. “All is vanity.” In Martin Luthers translation the word vain means futile.
Tine Drefahl assembled various organic foods such as fruits, vegetables, cheese and fish. At first sight everything seems to be luxurious but at second sight one can notice worms in the cheese and mould-infested things... Everything will pass away, but the record will play again and again...
